Product description
The RC-TECH pipe is intended for laying in open trenches without sand backfilling, rehabilitation technology and special pipe laying. Two inseparably connected layers guarantee resistance to mechanical wear. The outer layer with a thickness of 10% of the wall thickness has a different color (blue) and serves for easy detection of surface defects and scratches deeper than 10% of the wall thickness. The inner black layer, which is 90% of the wall thickness, is made in the same way as the outer layer from the classic PE100-RC material.
Available pressure ranges: SDR26 / PN6, SDR17 / PN10, SDR11 / PN16, SDR9 / PN20, SDR7.4 / PN25.
Main product benefits
High pipe strength
Exceptional flexibility for bending shaping
Easy welding using electrofusion or butt welding
Safe for health
Comprehensive protection against damage, easy and flexible installation
Possibility of trenchless installation, extended service life
Possibility of laying without a sand bed
Material
The RC-TECH pipe is intended for laying in open trenches without sand backfilling, rehabilitation technology and special pipe laying. Two inseparably connected layers guarantee resistance to mechanical wear. The outer layer with a thickness of 10% of the wall thickness has a different color (blue, orange, brown) and serves for easy detection of surface defects and scratches deeper than 10% of the wall thickness. The inner black layer, which is 90% of the wall thickness, is made, like the outer layer, from the classic PE100-RC material.
HDPE pipes are extremely flexible, therefore they withstand short-term overloads and dynamic loads much better than rigid pipes. They are highly resistant to soil subsidence and technical seismicity. High thermal expansion (about 10 - 15 times higher than that of other metals) is useful in some applications.
Chemical resistance
HDPE pipes are best suited for transporting substances that do not corrode the pipe material.
Can be used for media with pH between 2 and 12, i.e. water can also have a strongly acidic or strongly alkaline reaction. The pipes can therefore be used for a wide range of reaction fluids in various industries. Plastic pipes do not rust, are intact to biocorrosion even without special surface treatment, they are not food for rodents!
They are resistant to common disinfectants in concentrations and exposure times commonly used for disinfection of drinking water distribution systems (long-term use of pipes for their transport is not considered). They are also resistant to the effects of common soil components, including artificial fertilizers.
Polyethylene does not withstand long-term exposure to organic chemicals (e.g. toluene, benzene) and many other petroleum products. When transporting products with a high proportion of petroleum products, the service life of the pipes may be reduced by these chemicals to a greater extent than specified in the standards or as stated in this catalogue. Service life may also decrease due to increasing temperature. Mixed chemicals may also be more aggressive than unmixed substances.
